Branding methods
Seven ways to put your logo on it
The same logo reads differently printed, engraved, pressed or foiled. We will recommend the one that suits the material.
Available for this product
Screen printing
Ink pushed through a mesh stencil, one colour at a time.
A stencil is made for each colour, then ink is pressed through it onto the product. The ink sits on the surface as a solid layer, so colours stay bright and consistent across a whole run, and the cost per piece drops quickly as quantities rise.
- Best for
- One or two flat colours on a large order
- Good to know
- Every colour needs its own screen, so gradients and photographs are not suitable.
Digital UV printing
Full colour printed straight onto the product and cured on contact.
The design is printed directly onto the surface and hardened under ultraviolet light as it goes down. It holds fine detail, gradients and photographic artwork without a separate screen for each colour, and can be layered to leave a slightly raised, textured finish.
- Best for
- Detailed or full colour logos on flat surfaces
- Good to know
- Small runs are economical because there is no screen to set up.
UV transfer printing
A printed film wrapped on with heat and pressure.
The artwork is printed onto a thin transfer film, then pressed onto the product. The film follows the shape underneath, so it reaches curves, ridges and small round surfaces that a flat printer cannot.
- Best for
- Full colour on a curved or uneven surface
- Good to know
- Ask for a wrap check if the artwork runs all the way around.
Available for this productLaser engraving
The mark is cut into the material rather than laid on top.
A focused laser removes a thin layer of the surface and reveals the material underneath. There is no ink, so nothing can peel, scratch off or fade. On stainless steel it reads as a soft grey; on wood and leather it burns darker than the surface around it.
- Best for
- A permanent mark on metal, wood or glass
- Good to know
- The colour comes from the material itself, so it cannot be matched to a brand colour.
Deboss and emboss
The design is pressed into the surface with a metal die.
A die made for your logo presses it into the material. Debossing pushes the shape down, embossing raises it up. There is no ink at all, so the branding is felt more than it is seen, which is why it suits leather goods and heavier paper stock.
- Best for
- Quiet, tactile branding on leather and paper
- Good to know
- Fine hairlines and very small type lose definition once they are pressed.
Heat transfer printing
A printed design bonded to fabric with a heat press.
Your artwork is printed onto a transfer sheet, then pressed onto the garment with heat and pressure so it bonds to the fibres. Because the design is printed first, it carries full colour, gradients and fine detail that screen printing cannot reach, and it works just as well for small runs as for large ones.
- Best for
- Full colour logos on fabric and apparel
- Good to know
- Best on flat panels. Very large solid areas can feel heavy on thin fabric, so we usually keep the design compact.
Foil stamping
A mirror finish in gold, silver, rose gold or holographic.
A heated die presses reflective metallic foil onto the surface, leaving a clean, solid mark with a mirror sheen. It catches the light as the piece moves, which is why it is usually kept for the logo alone rather than large areas of artwork.
- Best for
- A premium accent on packaging and gift sets
- Good to know
- One colour per pass, and large solid areas can show pinholes. Small marks and type hold best.

What is the minimum order?
It varies by product and branding method. Tell us what you are planning and we will confirm the minimum before you commit to anything.
Can this product carry my logo?
Yes. Everything we supply can be branded. The method depends on the material and the shape of the surface, and we will confirm what works before you order.
What artwork do you need?
A vector file such as AI, EPS, SVG or PDF gives the cleanest result. If you only have a PNG or JPG, send it over and we will tell you whether it will hold up at size.
Can I see a proof first?
Yes. You approve a digital proof of every branding position before anything goes into production.
